DIY Book Sale

I have written a few books in the past few years. Most are the Do-It-Yourself type. Right now I am having a downloadable book sale. You can buy ALL the books I have ever written for $14!

Here is a list of the books included:
"Make Your Own Organic Wine At Home"
"Make Your Own Organic Soap At Home"
"Keeping a Few Chickens At Home"
"The Homemaker's Handbook"

- The first three are self explanatory. Clear directions and lots of pictures.

- The Homemaker's Handbook" is a large book of tips for the homemaker in every category of the home, with a large section on cooking and recipes. It's more like an extended cookbook. I wrote it 25 years ago but most of the information is still applicable.

You can download all of these books in one .zip file from the DOWNLOAD page of our website. (Yes, its up and running again, although there's not much on it yet.)

If you have any problems downloading the books, please let me know. Feedback on the books would be appreciated too!

I have endeavored to make these books easy to follow with pictures, clear directions and explanations. I intend to write more books of this type. I have started one entitled "Keeping A Few Chickens At Home" but have not finished it yet. Not that we are starting a freer lifestyle, I will have more time to write these and will finish the next one soon, I hope. These book sales will help us to keep ourselves off grid and give us both the time to write. In exchange I believe that you will be getting a great deal of value for your money! I sincerely hope you enjoy it!

Whether or not I continue to write books like this will depend mostly upon the popularity and success of the ones I have already written. If you use one of these books, some feedback would be appreciated.

A New Cookbook

I have a new, free e-book for download! It is the "Providence Acres Blog Cookbook" - A Collection Of Recipes & Tips From Our Blog.

You can download it free from the link in the left column.

It is totally free for your use, as are my other books: "Making Organic Soap At Home" and "Making Organic Wine At Home". If you like the books and use them, and you can afford to, please donate to help keep them free.

I am writing a series of "At Home" books for those folks who are on the road to self sufficiency and want to live closer to the land. Most families who have left their jobs and security and are just starting out on their own do not usually have much in the way of material possessions. The very definition of homesteading usually means a lack of material posessions. These people need the help these books might be able to provide and it is for these families that I want to keep them free, however writing a book takes up a lot of my time and effort.

If you want to help with this project and can afford to, please donate towards their use and continuation. You can use the "Donate" button on the download page and go through PayPal, if you wish.

My next book will be: "Keeping a Few chickens At Home". I don't have a publish date as I write in my spare time.

Please let me know if there is an important recipe or tip in the blog that I have ommitted in this book.

Thank you, everyone, for your continued support in this endeavor!

E-Books

I have written a few e-books in the past year. I am hoping that "Making Organic Soap At Home" will become a favoirite book for homesteaders.

I have started writing another book entitled: "Keeping A Few Chickens At Home". I'd like to continue writing this series of "At Home" books for those on the journey to a more self sufficient lifestyle.
I am going to sell these on our new website. You can purchase these through our E-Book page - one of the tabs at the top of the screen.

I know there are those out there who are trying hard to make ends meet while doing what they can to live a healthier and more self sufficient lifestyle. I hope this will help those families.
